PV Sindhu (Pusarla Venkata Sindhu) is an Indian badminton player born on 5th July 1995 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh now in Telangana India. 
P. V. Sindhu is the first Indian who win the badminton World championship and she is the second athlete from India who win two consecutive medals at Olympic Games. Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu won the Singapore Open Super 500 trophy. She beats China's Wang Zhi Yi in an intense women's singles final on 17th July 2022.

PV Sindhu : Birth, Family, Age Education, Training and Early Life

PV Sindhu was born on 5th July 1995 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, which is now in Telangana. Her father P. V. Ramana is an Indian Railway employee who was born in Nirmal, Telangana, while his mother P. Vijaya was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Both her parents have been national level volleyball players. Her father PV Ramana, was a member of the Indian volleyball team, that won the Bronze medal in the 1986 Seoul Asian Games. PV Ramana was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2000 for his contribution to the sport. 
PV Sindhu was educated at Auxilium High School, Hyderabad and St. Ann's College for Women, Hyderabad. She started playing badminton at the age of eight. She first joined Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications in Secunderabad, where she learned basics of badminton under the guidance of Mehboob Ali at the badminton courts. After that, she joined Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy. 
PV Sindhu won many titles after joining Pullela Gopichand's badminton academy. In the under-10 years doubles category, she won the fifth Servo All India ranking championship and the singles title at Ambuja Cement All India ranking championship. She also won the Gold medal at the 51st National State Games in India in the under - 14 team. 
At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Sindhu won her first Commonwealth Games Gold medal in women's singles by beating Michelle Li of Canada in the final. With this win, she becomes the second player in women's singles to win full set of medals at the Commonwealth Games. She also won a Silver medal in the mixed team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. 
She was the flag bearer of the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

PV Sindhu Personal life 

PV Sindhu has been working as Assistant Sports Manager at Bharat Petroleum since July 2013 at their Hyderabad office. After winning the Silver medal at the Rio Olympics, she was promoted to Dupty Sports Manager. She was appointed as the Dupty Collector (Group-I) by the Andhra Pradesh government in July 2017. She was appointed as the  first brand Ambassador of Bridgestone India. 
PV Sindhu is the first Indian female athlete to appear in the top 10 Forbes in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
