The 15th edition of Asia Cup 2022 has been scheduled from 27 Aug 2022 to 11 Sept 2022. The Asia Cup 2022 was scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka but due to rising economic crises the tournament was shifted to UAE . The Asian cricket Council shifted the Asia Cup 2022 to UAE but hosting rights remain with Sri Lanka. The matches will be played in the T20 format.

Asia Cup 2022 Team and Groups :
6 Asian teams will participate in Asia Cup 2022. The 6 teams are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B. Each team in a group team will play each other once and the top two teams from both groups will go on to the Super 4. Each team of Super 4 will play each other, top two team will play the final match, which is going to be held on 11 Sept 2022 at Dubai international cricket stadium.

Asia Cup 2022 Venue :
The Asia Cup 2022 was scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka but due to the growing economic crisis, the tournament was shifted to the UAE. The Asian Cricket Council moved the Asia Cup 2022 to the UAE but the hosting rights are with Sri Lanka.

Asia Cup 2022 Final Match :
India is out of the final race of Asia Cup 2022, After Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in a Super 4 match in Sharjah on Wednesday. The victory also confirmed Pakistan and Sri Lanka as finalists of the tournament, with both India and Afghanistan losing matches that they have played in the Super 4.
Captain Rohit Sharma suffered two consecutive defeats - the first was defeated by Pakistan by 5 wickets and the second by Sri Lanka by 6 wickets. With two consecutive defeats took India out of the tournament, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the final on 11 September 2022 at Dubai International cricket stadium Dubai.
Sri Lanka won the final of Asia Cup 2022 by 23 runs over Pakistan. Sri Lanka was initially almost out of the tournament after losing to Afghanistan. Rally like a champion and win five matches in a row and become the champion of Asia Cup 2022.

Wanindu Hasaranga is the man of the tournament. Hasaranga the second highest wicket taker in the tournament takes 9 wickets at an average of 18.89.
Hasaranga came into form when he was needed the most, taking three wickets in both the matches against Pakistan. He also scored with bat, his most important innings came in the final, where he scored 36 runs off 21 balls.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa was the man of the match in the final. Rajapaksa played a brilliant role in the final. Where he scored 71 off 45 balls.
Highest Individual Score :
Virat Kohli scored 122 runs in 61 balls against Afghanistan, was the highest of the tournament.
Most Wickets of Induvidual :
Bhuneshwar Kumar took 11 wickets, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four wickets in a brilliant start against Pakistan, but his best performance came against Afghanistan, where he took five wickets.
